Dr. Brad Schapiro was born in Lexington, KY. At an early age, he was taught the value of diet, nutrition and fundamental wisdom from a business perspective. His father gave him vitamin supplements at the age of 5; he started with his first personal trainer at 13 and played competitive soccer for about 14 years.

Dr. Schapiro was first introduced to chiropractic when he was 19. He had aches and pains from playing soccer and was encouraged to see a chiropractor. He soon realized that he could combine his love for business and love for natural healthcare into one profession. As a result, Dr. Schapiro graduated in 2010 from Life University in Marietta, GA to receive his bachelor of science in biology and his doctorate in chiropractic.

While attending Life University, he met his wife, Melissa. She was a meteorologist and had a passion for helping others by keeping them safe and informed.  Melissa developed a love for the chiropractic lifestyle and now serves patients at Ultimate Health’s Winchester office. Dr. Schapiro and Melissa have a son (a natural performer with a passion for theater), who has been raised in the chiropractic lifestyle since the day he was born and has exceptional health as a result.

After Life University, Dr. Schapiro worked in a multi-disciplinary practice that combined chiropractic, western medicine and natural medicine. He spent two years learning that different doctors and different products and services could all be combined for the benefit of the patients. He soon realized there were many approaches to health, not just one. The key was about customizing the right approaches to the individual, based on his or her unique needs.

Dr. Schapiro founded Ultimate Health in Winchester, TN in February, 2012. Ultimate Health expanded into the manufacturing industry by offering chiropractic services to the employees of VIAM in Manchester in 2015. Dr. Brad was a staff member at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System from 2014-2018. He served on the Tennessee Chiropractic Association Board of Directors from 2014-2018. Dr. Schapiro has extensive post-graduate training in Functional Neurology, Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis, Clinical Nutrition, and Neural Emotional Techniques.

Dr. Brad’s wife, Melissa, formerly a Nashville meteorologist, has always been a part of Ultimate Health. In the beginning, she played more of a behind-the-scenes role as a stay-at-home mom to their son, Jackson. Melissa later took a more active role at the office, and when we needed a Chiropractic Therapy Assistant (CTA), Melissa got her license.

She also became our receptionist, so when you call the office or walk in the door, she will be the first person you talk to.  She is passionate about chiropractic because of the positive impacts it has had for her personally: she had been suffering from migraines for 10 years, and after a few chiropractic adjustments, they went away completely.

Their son’s health since birth is a testament to chiropractic’s importance to people of all ages. She loves educating people on the benefits of chiropractic…not just for pain relief, but for overall health and well-being.
